What

LOVE OVER EVERYTHING
is a collaborative project by The Rape Crisis Society, ABIL and Freetown Collective. The mission of the project is to realize TWO  main goals:
1. To find sustainable ways of funding the rehabilitation and restoration of women who are the survivors of Gender Based Violence.
2. To use Art to communicate this simple message to the society, and particularly men and boys: “Conflict is inevitable but violence is a choice.”

Who

THE RAPE CRISIS SOCIETY OF TRINIDAD & TOBAGO
provides an essential service to women who are the survivors of Rape, Abuse and other forms of violence. The number of women in need of this service is growing rapidly and the resources in hand at present are far from sufficient.
ABIL
as a group of private companies have recognized the need for the Private Sector to do its part in GIVING! They’ve decided to put their money where their heart is to help the Rape Crisis Society to provide their crucial service to the hundreds of survivors who need it DAILY!
FREETOWN COLLECTIVE
may be best known as a musical band but it is clear that they have a vested interest in using Art to promote Social Justice and reformative behaviours that would lead to healing and reconciliation. They are using their voices and influence to amplify a message that says “VIOLENCE IS A CHOICE”. We have the power make a different choice – to choose Love Over Everything.

Why

It is estimated that one in three females and one in seven boys will be sexually abused before aged 18. In 2012, an estimated 47 per cent of female homicide victims were killed by their intimate partners or family members (compared to less than 6 per cent of male homicide victims)
According to a 2013 global review of available data, 35 per cent of women worldwide have experienced either physical and/or sexual IPV or non-partner sexual violence.
As of May 5th 2021 RCSTT has a total of 196 survivors of GBV on the waiting list: 104 children and 92 adults.

How

You can help. You can make a contribution to the cost of therapy for the survivors of Gender Based Violence.
